Nowadays, international migration is one of the most important factors affecting population dynamics and changes, which has also turned the attention of both researchers and policymakers. Understanding factors that underlie the desire to migrate has an impact on future migration tendencies and trends. The aim of the present study is to identify the extent of Iranians' desire to go abroad and the impact of demographic-contextual and structural factors on it. The methodology applied here is the secondary analysis of micro-data of the National Social Capital Survey of 2018. The sample includes 17078 people aged 18 and above living in 31 provinces of the country. According to the research findings, 42% of the respondents are willing to emigrate and are considered as potential immigrants. The results showed that people with a tendency to emigrate are often single, young (18 to 49 years old), with university education, middle class and living in cities. Also, the results of bivariate analysis of the relationship between structural factors (social satisfaction, social hope and vitality, sense of social security and assessment of the future of the country) showed that all these have a negative and significant connection with the tendency to emigrate abroad. Finally, based on the results of multivariate analysis (logistic regression), by controlling demographic and contextual variables, the level of social hope and vitality and the assessment of future situation of the country, still have a significant effect on the tendency to migrate.

In this paper, we try to examine the relationship between the three concepts of institutional trust, university, and political socialization. Institutional trust is one of the most important assets and needs of each institution to advance its functions. On the other hand, one of the most important functions of written and non-written of public universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran is to influence the process of political socialization of their main audience, students. The main issue of this article is that institutional trust as the most important indicator of social capital has a significant effect on the political socialization of undergraduate students at Tehran's public universities as a statistical society of this research. Postulating the theory of Robert Putnam on the concept of social capital, this article propounds this hypothesis that political socialization in every society carried out mainly through state institutions and the amount of citizen's trust to state institutions, which is called institutional trust and is one of the most important elements of social capital, is very important in the implementation process and the effectiveness of political socialization. Study of statistical findings in the case study of this study showed that with increasing institutional trust in public universities in Tehran, their effectiveness in increasing the political socialization of undergraduate students increase.

Nowadays the concept of social capital is one of the most popular concepts in sociological studies. Some experts believe that social capital is among the most important factors with a significant part in individuals’ success in achieving their goals. So, the main purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between social capital and the nutritional knowledge of athletes. For this purpose, the theoretical framework and hypotheses of the research are set based on Pierre Bourdieu’s theory. The statistical population of the research includes 2300 athletes in the 2014 Sports Championship held at Shahid Beheshti University; 310 persons were selected by means of Morgan’s table and the stratified sampling method. The survey method and questionnaires were employed to collect the data. The findings of the research indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between social capital and the nutritional knowledge of athletes.

Historical-cultural places carry a significance that extends beyond their physical attributes; they embody social relationships and values that are key to defining their meaning. Considering this, they require conservation alongside attention to interdisciplinary approaches. Meanwhile, a major obstacle to meaning-based conservation is the communication gap and conflict of interest among various beneficiaries, indicating a lack of social capital regarding conservation. This article aims to shed light on the process of utilizing social capital as an interdisciplinary phenomenon that can effectively preserve historical and cultural places. The study was done using a descriptive-analytical approach based on library and documentary sources. The findings reveal that the untapped communicative potential of historical and cultural places can be utilized to enhance social structures and reinforce social capital for the purpose of conservation. This method is achievable in urban neighborhoods and when interdisciplinary techniques are applied. In line with the proposed framework, improving the cognitive component of social capital and the network of shared environmental meanings, which includes emotional, cultural, social, and functional categories, results in the development and progression of social values. These include a sense of belonging, commitment, cooperation, and influence, all of which have the potential to stimulate social capital for conservation and cyclically enhance the place-based communication context. In this respect, actions such as promoting cultural awareness, preserving the sensory appeal and memorable aspects of the environment, upholding traditions, enhancing the quality of spaces for social interaction, and supporting local businesses are compulsory.
