The direct bond between the Qur’an and Muslims’ beliefs is one of the important factors, considered to result in a kind of exclusivism in conducting research on the Qur’an on the part of religious scholars in the Islamic tradition of studying the Qur’an. Due to this kind of control, there has always been a restriction as to how the Qur’an must be approached. Thus, the results of these studies have been mainly in accordance with the Islamic beliefs and principles, because the researchers have already been fully familiar with Islam, Islamic theology and the Qur’an. But by the virtue of the changes and developments occurring in science and research and the emergence of interdisciplinary studies and also to avoid exclusivism, a larger number of researchers currently engage in Qur’anic studies. Considering the inevitability of this climate, the sensitivity of research on the Qur’an and necessity of preventing mistakes in this field, it is of great importance to identify theological requirements for Qur’anic study in various fields of research. This article, by focusing on the theological requirements for interdisciplinary research on the Qur’an and using library method, tries to introduce the requirements for this type of research at three levels of epistemology, terminology and methodology so as to develop a proper outline for such research and thus alleviate worries about the results of interdisciplinary Qur’anic studies.

Relentless efforts of scholars in humanities to strike a balance between the beliefs of human beings about the world and life on the hand, and the issue of outlook on life (world view) indicates that there is a large gap between people’s beliefs and their outlook on life (world view). Thus, it seems that any thought (however metaphysical or abstract), any experience (at any level of intuition), any point of view and belief (however intra-disciplinary or dated historically) is inevitably influenced by the social conditions. On the other hand, one of the most critical problems in humanities is the lack of paradigm. Therefore Interdisciplinary studies can fill in a portion of this gap. Interdisciplinary Studies and coordination of different specializations in the study or a single problem or various problems requires in the first place, an open, coordinated and analytical mind as well as the thought and initiative of the elite. Interdisciplinary Studies are not limited to specific discipline and cannot be limited within a specific boundary. All scholars in humanities, especially in Iran, should be actively involved in Interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and meta-disciplinary Studies based on their deep philosophical knowledge, academic capabilities, historical background and recent political developments in the country. This is because no human social activity is one-dimensional. Interaction between different disciplines in humanities, however, has made it possible for the humanities to follow new topics in all academic areas. Therefore fallibility of human knowledge, its complimentary nature, multi originality of knowledge and moral commitment necessitate a serious approach to interdisciplinary studies in humanities.

The consequence of political life of any society is the result of how its political tendencies interact and change (Internal and External). Therefore, understanding political life of any society in possible providing that one has a profound ability to know, understand and analyze them. While due to epistemological and evolutional change of political sociology, current theories and methodologies experience some crises and shortcomings to explain political and social changes, this paper presents a second-hand and methodological question on political tendency. It was attempted to theoretically discuss both the content and form of political tendency. It was concluded that Political tendency is a coherent, analytical and conceptually mobile discipline consisted of understanding to reiteration (from specific to general). Going beyond mere description, understanding or reiteration or even propositional recreation or existing relationships among various tendencies, this study offers a more effective methodological, interdisciplinary and instrumental framework for understanding of the society and political life.

Purpose, although literature has focused on explaining theoretical background in the area of interdisciplinary studies, a few empirical studies has paid attention to the main reasons of performing interdisciplinary projects. To fill the research gap, current study tries to identify challenges and motivations of interdisciplinary studies for researchers to participate in interdisciplinary projects. The main purposes of the research are: 1) identifying the challenges and motivations of interdisciplinary studies implying on interdisciplinary methodology, 2) determining the degree of importance of the above elements regarding interdisciplinary studies. Methodology, current study is an exploratory in terms of methodology, descriptive in terms of research design, and development in terms of purpose. This study employing an interdisciplinary team firstly investigated theoretical background and prior research on interdisciplinary studies, identified challenges and motivations of the studies. Secondly, a structured interview performed with five interdisciplinary researchers. To investigate the identified elements empirically, a self-administrated questionnaire was used based on the literature and interviews. The questionnaire was distributed among 64 researchers from different disciplines who had experienced interdisciplinary activities. Data was analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis, composite reliability, one-sample t-test, Friedman test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) using LISREL and SPSS. Results indicated that recognized motivations except for public learning and satisfying psychological needs, and identified challenges have considerable effect on performing interdisciplinary studies.

The major problem in conducting interdisciplinary research projects is that in these projects two methodological model deploy against each other: quantitative method used in natural sciences on the one hand, and qualitative method used in human and social sciences on the other hand. As a result of such a problem, useful and constructive dialogue among the experts of different scientific fields seems to have reached a deadlock. The problem of ‘translatability’, too, has emerged out of the above problem. So, paying attention to language and its communicative criteria has come to focus. In this article, firstly, by considering the roots of such a problem and mentioning the theoretical foundations of the both methodological models, the deadlock of communication between scientific fields have been analyzed. Then, from the perspective of the theory of communicative action and universal pragmatics based on the critical theory, it is proposed that applying the method of ‘critical hermeneutics’ can break the deadlock. Not to mention that the methodological model of this article itself is based on Habermas’s communicative research method.

The elimination of institutions from economic analysis can be thought of as the most important cause in making economics as a separate science. The direct result of this step, which shows the desire of mainstream economics to follow physics in order to get the merit of "science" by wearing mathematical crown, was the dereliction of interdisciplinary studies and disregarding of ethics and politics. So, it can be claimed that, the elimination of institutions is one of the most unpleasant events in the history of economic thought and led this branch of human knowledge in an arena free from reality and full of mathematical abstractions. Regarding this fact, it seems necessary to study the causes of this neglect. This necessity encouraged us to fill the existing gap in the related literature and bring some reasons to light. In order to reach to this goal, using content and textual analysis methods, some major causes of ignoring institutions is identified, among which the following can be pointed: intense desire of some economists to follow physics, their mistake in separating economics from human sciences, the impacts of political events, and a set of epistemological and methodological reasons.

This study indicates that essential perceptions and scholarly conceptions in social sciences are remarkably distinguished from each other. They are individualism, holism, collectivism, and systemism. It further deals with the point that socio-economic factors and institutions have a causative interrelation. An independent and isolated study of these institutions can never give a true and proper understanding of these issues. This goal is not achievable but through synthetic and interdisciplinary conceptions including holistic, and systemic methods.

From the Naseri period until now, the body has always been the place of disputes, conflicts and competition between social groups, political parties and different discourses in Iran. Despite this, studies of the body in general and the study of the relationship between the political system and the body in Iran in particular is a nascent field that has not received serious attention from academic circles in Iran. The current research is a systematic review of the researches conducted in this field during the last two decades. Such a study, in addition to providing an analysis of the approaches, methods, issues, and findings of these studies, and reviewing the weaknesses and strengths of the existing research, can reveal the neglected spaces and fields. In this area, identify and lead to a deeper understanding of the issue of the body as a social and political construct in Iranian modernity. Therefore, relying on the analysis of the content and themes of the sources reviewed in this article, we are looking for a systematic analysis of the problem analysis, theoretical and methodological foundations of the existing studies. The research findings show; Most of these researches show the dominant influence of the researches from the culture policy approach and attitudes and positions related to it. Also, the role of the body in the formation process of the modern nation state, as well as cultural, historical and social gaps in Iran is the most important issue that researchers have addressed.
