It is about forty years that some of Iran’s policy makers and experts in social and human sciences are of the opinion that there should be an evolution in humanities. They are of the view that principles and basic assumptions of current humanities are in conflict with Islamic framework and consequently these doctrines are not appropriate to address local issues of Islamic countries. Since the Islamic Revolution of Iran of 1979, any change in these doctrines has been a matter of debate. But we need a new plan for making a change in our policies. Applying interdisciplinary approach permit us to find a new way for policy making in society. History is full of lessons to guide us in our present situations. Therefore, by taking into account, the sociology of science and issues of policy-making, we study the Translation Movement. This article shows the transfer and transformation of Greek philosophy to Islamic philosophy in 7- 10 A.D. in Islamic civilization and also proposes an alternative approach for the policy makers. We identify actors of transferring knowledge, scientific translators and the Abbasid State. Research model of this paper has been chosen from the sociology of science and also makes use of "Implication Research Methodology” with regard to history. Our suggestion is "Transformational Translation (Transforlation) " that includes selecting best texts, translations, correction, explanation, criticism and innovation. Accordingly, policies should be revised after identifying discipline on Transforlation Chain and structures and human resources have to be formalized on the basis of revised policies.

Achieving an accurate knowledge about the relationship between history and politics and then achieve an understanding of the Interdisciplinary nature of these two branches of the humanities is the fundamental purpose of this study. This goal can be more realized with a focus onagency. In other words, human agency is a turning point that Focused onit, this article attempts to read avariety of texts about it. The question of agency in the relationship between historyand politics is formulated that way: is the politics a manifestation of human agency in settling his personal and public life? Or Reflects course of victimization of entities of human and social against the will predetermined that forms their affairs or with respect of both? But the answer to this question is: Human in the political arena affected by the historical structures andvice versa the historical structures in the political arena form with human agency. On this basis for a deep understanding of the quality of agency it is necessary simultaneous attention to history and politics. While the garlicin history regardless of the politics (that is manifestation of agency and makes the history) is an unfinished attempt and also study of politics regardless of the history (that structures of against agency comefrom the depths of history) is insufficient. This relationship tells from interdisciplinary nature of knowledge of history and politics. Moreover their interaction also provides Possibility of creating an interdisciplinary knowledge.

Interdisciplinary can be considered as an advantage when it has a certain relation with scientific and epistemic facilities in a society. In contemporary Iran, some of these facilities are the heritage of our religious intellectualism, and considering interdisciplinary phenomenon, they may be used in scientific and methodological fields, and somehow in academic policy-making. The heritage of Ali Shariati’s intellectualism -- as a thing that cannot be rejected in terms of language, theoretical value, and attraction to students in our thought framework -- contains the basis for multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary thought. Therefore, having multi-disciplinary knowledge, Shariati discuses subjects such as human, history, land, and identity -- which cannot be explained properly using a mere field of study -- in an inter-disciplinary method. The canon of Shariti’s inter-disciplinary thought can be discussed in the concept of “fixed-variable”. This paper conducts a hermeneutical analysis of the interdisciplinary facilities in Shariati’s intellectualism base on “fixed-variable” challenge. The result indicates that interdisciplinary can be a base for making human sciences indigenous in Iran. If we take into account the interdisciplinary based on historical and social facts, the real epistemic and thinking challenges will be revealed and interdisciplinary can be expanded.
