It has been increasingly used within archaeological research contexts over the last 30 years.  The widespread use of this system in archaeology is a product of the proliferation and availability of geographic software programs, advances in computer technology and, abundance of spatial data in archaeology. Iranian archaeology is not an exception to this rule. In recent years many researches and thesis have appropriately used these tools in their studies. This study reviews the necessity of using spatial theories in archaeology and review the application of this system in Iranian archaeology. After reviewing applied activities based on this systems in landscape studies and intra-site applications in Iran , it was clear that archaeologists have not completely identified the capabilities and features of this system. Absence of legitimate uses by geography graduates assisting in archaeological studies are the most important difficulties in the way of GIS in Iranian archaeology. However, other factors such as difficulty of spatial models suitable for all objects and various forms from excavations; the lack of database updates; length of archaeological interpretations of excavations for printing; a great variety of objects, concepts and specific functions; mapping and image analysis; cultural and regional diversity; chronology and historical context; financial deterrents; the lack of consensus among the Iranian archaeologists and so on affect this matter as well. }, keywords = {comprehensive episteme,higher education,interdisciplinary curriculum,prerequisite,mechanism}, title_fa = {سیستم اطلاعات جغرافیایی در پژوهش‌های باستان‌شناسی ایران؛ پیشینه، روند و مشکلات}, abstract_fa = {فناوری سیستم‌ اطلاعات جغرافیایی (GIS) بالغ بر 30 سال است که برای مطالعات باستان‌شناسی به‌کار می‌رود و به‌طور فزاینده‌ای درحال گسترش است. گسترش استفاده از این سیستم در باستان‌شناسی، نتیجه تکثیر و دردسترس بودن برنامه‌های نرم‌افزاری جغرافیایی، پیشرفت در فناوری رایانه و فراوان بودن داده‌های مکانی در زمینه باستان‌شناسی است. باستان‌شناسی ایران نیز از این قاعده مستثنا نبوده و در سال‌های اخیر بررسی‌ها و پایان‌نامه‌های زیادی بخشی از مطالعات خود را به این مقوله اختصاص داده‌اند. این مقاله با مروری بر ضرورت استفاده از نظریه‌های مکانی در باستان‌شناسی، به بررسی و نقد کاربرد این سیستم در باستان‌شناسی ایران می‌پردازد. پس از بررسی فعالیت‌های انجام‌شده مبتنی‌بر این سیستم در ایران که در دو حوزه چشم‌‌انداز و درون‌محوطه‌ای انجام شده است، مشخص شد که عدم آشنایی کامل باستان‌شناسان با قابلیت‌ها و امکانات این سیستم و توجیه نشدن کاربران آشنا با این سیستم که از دانش‌آموختگان رشته‌های جغرافیا بوده و درصدد کمک به باستان‌شناسان برآمده‌اند، ازجمله مهم‌ترین مشکلات بر سر راه کاربرد سیستم اطلاعات جغرافیایی در باستان‌شناسی ایران است؛ هرچند می‌توان عوامل دیگری چون دشواری ساخت مدل مکانی برای تمامی اشیا و شکل‌های متنوع به‌دست‌آمده از کاوش، به‌روزرسانی نشدن بانک‌های اطلاعاتی به‌دلیل طولانی بودن روند تفسیرهای باستان‌شناسی از کاوش تا آماده شدن برای چاپ، پیچیدگی مشاهده‌های باستان‌‌شناسی، تنوع زیاد ابزارها، مفاهیم و کارکردهای خاص، نقشه‌کشی و تجزیه‌و‌تحلیل تصویر، تنوع فرهنگی و منطقه‌ای، گاه‌نگاری و چارچوب‌های تاریخی، هزینه‌بر بودن و نبودن توافق در بین باستان‌شناسان ایرانی را نیز در این امر دخیل دانست.}, keywords_fa = {باستان‌شناسی,سیستم اطلاعات جغرافیایی,روندها,حوزه چشم‌انداز و درون‌محوطه‌ای}, url = {http://www.isih.ir/article_237.html}, eprint = {http://www.isih.ir/article_237_bda0a97acd75d90269b6d183e2e09604.pdf} }
