The higher education systems, it is argued, are experiencing a challenging period where the felt need in this regard does not match the level of wisdom and the extent of insight required. The paper proceeds with a review of the literature in the curriculum field which aims at providing better understanding of different genres of curriculum integration concluding that this source although vital for policy makers at the higher education, will need to be further developed in order to match the complexities peculiar to higher education. The author, then, addresses the rationale for curriculum integration at higher education which he regards as manipulation of the current knowledge and technology map to address the emergent needs. This, he contends, requires concentration on a knowledge production system to meet the standard of a new knowledge domain. Without due attention to this prerequisite, the resulting product can not be regarded as a genuine interdisciplinary science and it will rather be looked upon as a mere addition or juxtaposition of two or mote extant knowledge fields. In the final section of the paper, five policy options are discussed. در این مقاله ابتدا، با اشاره به ضرورت ورود به عرصه علوم میان‌رشته‌ای و نیاز به ارائه تبیین دقیق نظری از آن، هدف مقاله در همین راستا ارزیابی میشود. سپس موقعیت مسئله‌ای علوم میان‌رشته‌ای، در آموزش عالی ایران و جهان توضیح داده میشود. از آنجا که تبار و پیشینه مباحث تلفیق در برنامه‌های درسی مقطع پیش از دانشگاه، یعنی حوزه آموزش و پرورش، است، بر ضرورت آشنایی سیاستگذاران آموزش عالی با این پیشینه تأکید شده و در بخش بعد، از طریق بازپردازش این پیشینه، شکل متفاوتی از تیپشناسی تلفیق (سه وجهی) عرضه شده است. آن گاه منطقهای متفاوتی تشریح شده است که در پس استفاده از رویکرد تلفیقی در آموزش پیش از دانشگاه، در مقایسه با آموزش دانشگاهی، وجود دارد و بر این مهم تأکید میشود که منطق تلفیق (و علوم میان‌رشته‌ای) در آموزش عالی، علی‌الاصول، پاسخگویی به نیازهای معرفتی و اجتماعی نوظهور بشر از طریق خلق و تکوین رشته‌های جدید است. متعاقباً، در بخشی که میتوان آن را مهمترین بخش این نوشتار دانست، با ارائه بررسی‌های نمونهای و اجمالی درباره تکوین علوم میان‌رشته‌ای، قواعدی که در جریان تکوین رشته‌های جدیدی باید به آنها ملتزم بود، توضیح داده شده است. در بخش نتیجه‌گیری، پیش از بخش پایانی، پنج گزینه سیاستی در توسعه علوم میانرشتهای توضیح داده شده است و بالاخره، در بخش پایانی یک گونه‌شناسی تلفیق در برنامه درسی آموزش عالی نقد و ارزیابی شده است. https://www.isih.ir/article_17_70efdf2ec9b086079795c442636b55fb.pdf
