Science and scientific advances needs context of interactions between different scientific disciplines. In the present age regarding to the subject areas' specialization, interdisciplinary relationships in any study seems inevitable. Library and Information Science is a discipline which, like other disciplines, has its theoretical principles. It seems many of the considered theories and principles in this science have been borrowed from other scientific fields; therefore this study tries to discover the roots and origins of these theories by investigating and studying the existing theories in this field, and thus to specify the interdisciplinary nature of Library and Information Science.
